Sam Smith dominates at No.1 on the Billboard 200 for the first time, as his sophomore album, The Thrill of It All, opens at the summit. The debut helps the singer-songwriter return to No. 1 on the Billboard Artist 100 for a fourth total week on top.
Plus, Post Malone's "Rockstar," featuring 21 Savage, rules the Billboard Hot 100 for a fifth consecutive week.
Here are 13 other things to know about Billboard's charts this week:
1. It hasn't even debuted on any chart yet, but Taylor Swift's Reputation is already the top-selling album of 2017, as the set sold 1.05 million copies in its first four days, according to Nielsen Music.
2. On the latest Chart Beat Podcast, Gary Trust and Trevor Anderson discuss what the next singles should be from Swift's Reputation.
3. More Taylor Talk: On the Pop Shop Podcast, Keith Caulfield and Jason Lipshutz discuss the Reputation rollout, as well as Eminem's new song featuring Beyonce, "Walk on Water."
4. Even more Taylor: The closing track on Reputation, "New Year's Day," has been serviced to country radio. Can the ballad return her to country airwaves?
5. 2017 has been a monumental year for rap music. So far this year, 16 rappers have scored their first top 10 hit on the Hot 100.
6. Harry Styles reaches a new No. 2 peak on the Social 50 chart, thanks to the music video release for his new single, "Kiwi."
7. On the latest Adult Pop Songs chart, P!nk surpasses Katy Perry for the most No. 1s in the chart's history among women, as "What About Us" scores P!nk her ninth leader.
8. Billboard's Nashville-based senior chart manager Jim Asker chatted with emerging country star Carly Pearce to discuss her first No. 1 on the Country Airplay chart, "Every Little Thing," and how she hopes that her music can inspire people.
9. "Rains" reigns: Luke Combs earns his first No. 1 on the Hot Country Songs chart, as "When It Rains It Pours" rises 2-1. It's only the fourth No. 1 on the chart this year.
10. Blake Shelton scores his second No. 1 on the Top Facebook Live Videos chart, as a backstage clip that he made at The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon rules the ranking.
11. LANCO hits No. 1 on the Emerging Artists chart, thanks to the country group's breakthrough single, "Greatest Love Story." Plus, Joji debuts at No. 10.
12. Zach Williams' "Old Church Choir" hits No. 1 on the Hot Christian Songs chart, thanks, in part, to a viral video of a 6-year-old dancing to the song in a Tennessee choir.
13. Led Zeppelin's classic "Immigrant Song" gains by nearly 1,000 percent in sales, and re-enters the Hot Rock Songs chart at a new No. 4 peak, fueled by its synch in Thor: Ragnarok.
