Parmesan Twists

 Parmesan Twists

Yield: 12-14 twists


  • 1 sheet frozen puff pastry, defrosted
  • 1 c. grated parmesan, divided
  • Egg wash


  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Line two large baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Scatter about one third cup of Parmesan on a clean working surface. Place puff pastry on top. Sprinkle another third cup of Parmesan over the puff pastry and roll the puff pastry out to make a larger rectangle, about 1/8” thick. Fold the puff pastry in half lengthwise and sprinkle with the remaining Parmesan. Roll out the rectangle crosswise to widen the rectangle. Cut the rectangle crosswise into long strips. You should end up with about 12-14 strips.
  3. Spread the strips out onto baking sheets, about 1” apart. Twist each puff pastry strip, holding both ends, in opposite directions to create spirals. Brush each twist with egg wash. Bake for 15-20 minutes, until the twists are golden.
  4. Let cool to room temperature before serving.
